World on verge of disaster due to US policies: Cynthia
ISLAMABAD, (SANA): Former member of American Congress Cynthia McKinney has said that the whole world is on the verge of disaster due to the US policies.
While addressing at the seminar organized by Institute of Policy Studies held on the topic “US justice system” here on Tuesday, Cynthia McKinney said that the case of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui has unveiled the real face of the justice system of US.
He said that, at present, calling US the custodian of law and justice is incorrect and the world has known how far the law and justice was upheld in the case of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.
Addressing on the occasion, the speakers said that the requirements of the law and justice were totally neglected in the case of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui and US policy in Afghanistan has completely failed. They said that the US Judicial system can not be called the system of justice.
Cynthia McKinney said that the people who raised voice for law and justice in the US either they were killed or were arrested, adding that through media every step was taken to curb their voice.
He said that discriminatory policies of the US promoted fundamentalism in the world particularly in the Muslim world.
He said that even today discrimination over colour and religion is perused in the US. He said that people are awaking against the US policies all over the world.
Human rights representative over the world, the woman belonging to US, Sara Flounders said that the aim of her visit to Pakistan is to bring the case of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui before the world.
She said that the whole Pakistani nation and the Muslim world are raising voice for return of the Dr. Aafia Siddiqui to Pakistan, adding that the international laws were overtly violated in this regard.
She said that drone attacks are the violation of sovereignty of Pakistan and the innocent citizens of Pakistan are targeted.
Sara Flounders said that US policy is totally criminal; no evidence could be presented against Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, even then she was sentenced for 86 years which is cruelty. She said that Dr. Aafia Siddiqui should be released on humanitarian grounds.
She said that US Judicial system can not be called the system of justice; the US is spending its half of the budget on wars.
On this occasion, Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s sister Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui said that the hearing of the Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s case was not done on justice, adding that every allegation imposed on her proved false. She said that the case of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui would help control the US from kidnapping the more innocents and inflicting cruelties upon them.
The senior Analyst Akram Zaki said that US has the two separate policies, it deals with its own citizens with one policy while it is promoting cruelty in the world with its other policy.
Akram Zaki said that after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the US has brought the Muslim world and China as its enemies, adding that due to its policies, the US (United States of America) is going to become DSA (Divided States of America).
