Islam respects all religions, Peshawar blast an attempt to sabotage dialogue with Taliban: Munawar

LAHORE, (SANA): Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hasan has called for improving the security at the minorities worship places in the wake of the on going wave of terrorism.

Addressing party workers at Mansoora on Monday, he said that Islam preached respect for all religions and did not allow desecration of churches, temples or any other place of worship.

He said on one hand, the Peshawar church bombing reflected the poor security position all over the country, while on the other hand, it was an attempt to sabotage the Pakistan- Taliban talks once a gain. The terrorists behind the attack aimed at the bloodshed of the Christians and the destruction of the church as also to sabotage the APC decisions and the dialogue, he added.

Syed Munawar Hasan said that the JI would strive for the unity of the Muslim world through the Islamic movements active in different parts of the world. He said that Pakistan was destined to play a leading role in seeking the solution of the Muslim Ummah’s problems.
He said the need of the hour was that the Muslim rulers sat together and pooled their energies and resources for steering the Ummah out of the present mess.

He expressed full solidarity with the Christian community over the Peshawar tragedy and deplored that even the worship places in the country were not safe.

He said the enemies of Islam and Pakistan did not want Pakistan to pull out of the present situation and were trying to sabotage all efforts for the peace. He said that the religious forces all over the country had joined the Christian community in protest over the Peshawar carnage.

Commenting on the situation in Egypt, the JI Ameer said that it had been proved that military dictator Gen. Sisi who toppled an elected government in the country had a Zionist family back ground and wanted to protect Israel at every cost, with full US support.
