Imran says he is Pakistan’s supporter and not Taliban’s

HARIPUR, (SANA): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said his party was pro-Pakistan and not pro-Taliban, adding that whosoever talks about peace of the country is termed as pro-Taliban. He said that the enemies of country want war in Pakistan, adding that Pakistan is facing the brunt in war against terrorism. Imran said he was clueless how government would proceed in dialogues with Taliban, adding Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was responsible for attack on forces in Bannu.

While addressing an election rally in connection with PK-50 by polls in Haripur, Imran questioned as to whom he should blame for Bannue attack other than Nawaz. “Had I been Nawaz, I would have given top priority to terrorism instead of foreign tours. I would have made my own delegation to trigger efforts to shun extremism,” PTI chief added.
Imran said Pakistani debts have crossed RS 15000 billion, adding these debts were at Rs 5000 billion when the war against terrorism was started. He said Dr Shakeel Afridi worked as spy for the US, adding had US release any Pakistan if he was spying for Pakistan.

Imran Khan said that in May last year he had asked Nawaz Sharif for giving priority to peace but the premier remained busy in foreign tours. He said war is being fought in Pakistan and prime minister is making visits of foreign countries. He said that few people of Pakistan becoming richer and nation is becoming poor. He said that the money of the few people is present in foreign countries, adding that the rulers are the slaves of the US and could not protect the interests of Pakistan. He said these people are responsible for dragging Pakistan into war against terrorism and these very people did not want to bring country out of this war.

He said there is debt of Rs over 90 thousand on every Pakistani today, adding that debt was at Rs 35000 prior to joining the war against terrorism.

Khan said he is a Pakistani and speaks for the nation and not a spokesman or supporter of Taliban as blamed by some political rival.

He accused the ruling party for its economic mismanagement for high inflation in the country. He said that PTI is the only party which could restore peace in country, adding that the PTI will not beg from anyone and will raise fund from the masses of the country to run the affairs of the country. He said that the people of the KPK are witnessing change during the past six months. He said new Pakistan would be started from KPK, adding that jobs would be generated for the youth.

PTI chief said that the government should hand over the control of PESCO and distribution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, his party will lower the prices of electricity and incidents of power theft. He asked the people of Harri Pur to vote for Akbar Ayyub Khan in polls of PK-50.
