Suicide attack near Mian Iftikhar home claims eight lives
NOWSHERA, (SANA): At least eight persons including three policemen were killed in a result of suicide attack near the residence of Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Information Minister of Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa.
Meanwhile 25 persons said to be injured including a nephew of Mian Iftikhar in the terrorist attack at Pabbi Shergarh, the native area of the K.P information minister.
According to sources, suicide bomber blew him up when police tried to stop on entering a mosque situated near the residence of information minister of K.P.
According to the eye-witnesses and police sources the suicide bomber was in his twenties
The injured have been shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar for further treatment.
According to some reports three suicide bombers had entered in Pabbi Shergarh and one of them have detonated his explosives.
Police have arrested a suspect from the area and transferred him to undisclosed place for investigation.
Three policemen including sub inspectors Ejaz, Gul Malook and Havaldar Hurmat Khan were martyred in the terrorist strike.
Security forces have cordoned off the area after the blast, while the rescue teams have started relief activities.
