PM announces forming committee to reduce overlapping in federal ministries

LAHORE (SANA): Urging Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) activists to follow reconciliation culture, the Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Saturday announced to form a committee in order to reduce overlapping in federal ministries.

This he said while talking in a meeting of Lahore division office-bearers here at State Guest House in which the other party workers also participated.

Giving example of Labour Ministry, Women Development Ministry and Welfare Ministry whose work overlapped regarding the Jahez fund, he said the committee would help reduce the overlapping in federal ministries.

Gilani said all the party workers should adopt the reconciliation culture in the best interest of the country.

Regarding the supply of sugar, the PM said the government was taking steps for bringing smoothness in it like wheat and rice adding sugar would be provided in special bazaars and steps were being taken to avoid the sugar crisis in future.

He said that door-to-door poverty survey was being conducted and the use of funds of Benazir Income Support Programme would be ensured in a transparent way.

The PM said that the PPP would restore the Constitution in its original shape as it was introduced by PPP.
